Well just wanted to let everyone know that Lola rolled over 3 times yesterday. I don't know if it is the beginning of endless rolling or if she just felt like it that day and we won't see anymore of it for a few months. I wasn't able to get a video of her rolling, but here are is a pic of tummy time, which she just loves.
This weekend, my roommate Becca came to visit from Texas and volunteered to babysit the kids. That got me nervous because Caden sometimes can be a little turkey and Lola is still young. She did great and the kids, I think, were alright so that is a relief. We got a chance to go see the new Harry Potter movie with our friends El and Kuni. We got there an hour early and there was still such a long line. I can't believe the craziness of Harry Potter around here. We had great seats and it was an awesome movie. I don't remember much of the book and I think it might be why I thought it was so awesome. i didn't compare the movie to the details in the book like Greg did. We are getting more and more excited about the book coming out in less than a week, but we need to refresh our minds with the last book. Any more details go to the website
I just interviewed with Greg's work last week. I should hear from them soon. Greg and I decided that it would be a blast to work together, even though it seems like it would be hard at times. We wouldn't spend all day together, but we would always have lunch together. I would love to get the job, but if not, I'll live. I would be doing the same thing Greg is so keep your fingers crossed for me. We will definitely let you know.
Today, we went to Lola's 2 month check-up. The doctor said everything is looking good and healthy. She is 10 lbs. and 22 inches now. She is growing like crazy. Someone once told us that formula is miracle grow and we sure believe it! She loves tummy time and she is controlling her head more. The doctor was impressed. She had to get 5 shots, which I feel like they are coming out with new shots every year for babies. I don't remember Caden getting that many. Caden had a fun time at the doctors because he just played with new books and new toys.
Greg has been super busy with work and reading Harry Potter-The Order of the Pheonix. He is reading it before we watch the movie. I will get a chance to see it this weekend so I am really excited. I probably need to buy my tickets soon before they sell out. I have got to refresh my mind with the 6th Harry Potter before the last book comes out on the 22nd. We hope everybody had a fun and safe Independence day! Greg had the day off so that was nice for me because I got a break from getting Lola at night. We had a fun and relaxing day of yard work in the morning, a nap in the afternoon, and watching Ratatouille at night. Ratatouille was a great movie and the kids were great, but it was Lola's cranky time of day. We came home and it was time for bed for all of us, so no fireworks this year. We do have some Pop its! though that we will be playing with today.
Lola is almost 2 months now and it has gone by fast. She is been a wonderful baby, but she tends to be a light sleeper which can be difficult at times. Caden is the best big brother, protecting her and giving her tons of kisses. He is still crazy as ever and learning more words each day. He loves playing in the water, snakes, and chips with salsa.
Greg just recently graduated from UVSC (soon-to-be Utah Valley University) and is now working for the Social Security Administration as a Client Representative. He is enjoying it a lot because that is what he has been wanting to do, but he just needed to get that Bachelor's degree.
I am still at home with the kids, enjoying my central air in this hot Utah weather. The kids keep me really busy and tired. I have been thinking about going back to work soon, but we will keep you updated on that. I will try to keep pictures of the kids updated.
